The die-cast model with Issue 4 is the very first starship to bear the name Enterprise NX-01, under Captain Jonathan Archer, was launched three weeks ahead of schedule following a crash-landing on Earth by a Klingon warrior. Her historic mission led to many first contacts and laid the groundwork for what would become the United Federation of Planets.
